Creating a chocolate bar to spread the message of unity in diversity

In a country like India which is known for its diversity, there was much intolerance based on color, cast, religion, region. On India’s 73rd Independence Day, we wanted to remind India of its strength in diversity. So we launched a chocolate bar with dark, blended, milk and white chocolate all under one wrap.

To launch the Unity Bar, the newspaper ads in each state were written in a language that was different from the state’s official language, focusing on the local diversity of different dialects and regions. For example, in the Bengaluru edition the headline was in Marathi, in the Delhi edition it was in Telugu and so on.

We created a video wherein every kind of chocolate is written in different Indian languages and all the types combine to form one Unity Bar, symbolising that even though we speak different languages, we are united as a nation.
